I promise… this will make you smile
It’s not every day you come across a video that makes you smile like this. The music clip is a cover of Ben E. King’s classic ‘Stand by Me’ and it’s probably one of the best recordings ever produced. It starts out with a recording from the streets of Santa Monica by a street musician, Roger Ridley. What follows is most unexpected, but truly brilliant. The recording group travel from city to city, state to state, and country to country; gradually adding other performers into this highly dynamic and inspiring track. To think this was all done with a laptop and microphone is amazing.
The objective of the organisation ‘Playing for Change‘, is to “inspire, connect, and bring peace to the world through music”. All the proceeds of this venture are put back into the communities where the music originated from. It really does make you smile. Watch it from beginning to the end - you won’t regret it.
